Beef & Cabbage

Let me share a little about this recipe....My dearest girlfriend, Robin shared this family recipe with me and ever since my first bite...I have been seriously addicted. I have never been a cabbage eater...blame it on the fact I never knew what to do with it...or maybe cause my mother never really cooked it.. whatever it may be...this dish has blown me away. After cooking it multiple times I decided I wanted to come up with a way to make it a throw in a crock pot sort of meal. So here it is, in its simplest form...tried and true!!

Ingredients-
1 lb of ground beef
3 or 4 Cloves of Garlic
1 Head of Cabbage
Soy Sauce
1.5-2 cups of water

Prep- Mince your garlic cloves, and brown them with your beef.

Crock Pot- Take all your ingredients and toss them in your crock pot. Eye ball the amount of Soy Sauce you put in, in general I say add about half the amount of soy as you add water. (Ex. If you add 2 cups of water, do 1 cup of Soy Sauce.) Stir, turn on low/med for generally 4-6hrs. Its important to try not to open the lid on your pot a lot, cause your trying to steam your cabbage. It's done when your cabbage is nice and soft.

Serve over white rice!! And Wah La! De-lish! ;)
** Can garnish with crushed red pepper, or hot sauce.**
